Third Grade

Welcome Third Graders

Dear Parents and Future Third Graders,

We would like to welcome you and your child to Third Grade!  We are looking forward to working with you to help make your child's year a successful one.  There are many exciting activities and projects planned for our third grade students in the 2016-2017 school year.

Your child will be expected to learn and achieve the 3rd grade Common Core Standards.  In math, students will be required to memorize their multiplication (0-12) and division facts, and in language arts, they will be required to read the entire Magic Tree House series, as well as, learn the essentials of spelling, grammar, word study, vocabulary and cursive writing.  We will be working closely together to insure the success of every 3rd grader.

We believe that it is important that we work together as a "teacher/parent team," so that your child can have a positive and rewarding experience this year.  Remember the educational process begins at home.  An open line of communication between home and school is vital importance to all of us, especially your child.

We look forward to working with you and your child this school year.
