Spring Break!

Good afternoon families,

What a wonderful time we had this past St. Patrick's Day. We got a visit from the Leprechaun from the Emerald Island, but alas, we were unsuccessful in capturing him with one of our many homemade traps! Next year!

Remember, March 27-31 is SPRING BREAK. School resumes on Monday, April 3.

Trimester 3 is upon us and we can't wait to welcome it as Spring has started. We look forward to the green grass on the fields, new learning projects, and to see each of your children grow in their academic and social learning.

Please remember to keep reading and providing plenty of opportunities foe your child to read. So many of our students have been doing a stellar job in reading and passing their Reading Counts tests. Remember, we want to encourage them for understanding and to just for the sake of reading or reading quickly.

Thank you!

Welcome Second Graders

Dear Second Grade Families,

It is with great joy and anticipation that we welcome you to Second Grade!  Second grade is exciting, challenging and full of new learning experiences.  We have a wonderful school year planned ahead, where we will have fun as we explore and learn new concepts together.

Our Second Grade Team is committed to working collaboratively to meet the needs of all our students.  It is our goal to provide a positive and rewarding educational experience for your child.  We believe your child's success is best achieved with a partnership between parent, teacher and student.  An open line of communication between home and school is of vital importance to all of us.

We can hardly wait for our school year to begin!  We have an amazing year ahead of us.  In addition to our classroom learning, Hoover School has countless special events and activities for ALL of us to enjoy!  We look forward to a memorable school year with each of you!
