Principal's Message

Dear Hoover Families,

It is hard to believe that we have come to the end of another school year! Where does the time go? It has been another wonderful year at Hoover. Teachers have worked diligently to teach the standards to your children, Instructional Aides have assisted children in the classrooms to be as successful as possible, the secretaries and the health aide have taken care of the children all year and have done a great job communicating lots of information to you about all things Hoover, Mrs. Carter has done an amazing job with our Visual and Performing Arts Theme and the production of Aladdin, and the students have read lots of books, calculated thousands of math problems, written millions of words in essays and stories, danced, sung, drawn, acted, and had lots and lots of fun throughout the year. Whew…we’ve done a lot.!

We could not have done all that we have done, without your help. So many, many thanks to all of you for the countless hours of time you have put in to volunteering at the school, helping your child with homework and projects, attending school events, and being part of the Hoover Family! Now it is time to relax and rejuvenate over the summer. Here are some key dates and other information for you to keep in mind:

*Meet and Greet – August 14th – 1:00- 3:00 p.m.

*First Day of School – August 16th – Minimum Day

I want to take this chance to thank you all for your love and support during my 6 years at Hoover. It has been the honor of my life to serve this community. Hoover will always have a special place in my heart, and my memories of our time together will always be present. I have truly been blessed to be the principal of Hoover, and I love all of you so very much.

Please continue to support the PFO and Dad’s Club. Make time to volunteer at school, whether it is helping with events, whether it is as a helper in the classroom or on field trips, whether it be to assist the office staff with clerical needs, or whether it be to donate

financially to the school…every bit makes a difference!!

I am confident that Hoover is being left in goods hands with Ms. Kathy Anderson as the new Principal. She has been a part of Hoover in some capacity for most of her life, and I know she will come to love you all as much as I do!!

With Hoover ALWAYS in mind,

Ms. Kay Oborn
