Fifth Grade

Spring is here and the year has gone by quickly!


This next few months will be going by fast and soon it will be testing time and graduation time!  


We have two field trips coming up on February 23 and March 8.


 The first field trip is to the Whittier Hills and March 8th is the trip to the California Science Center.


Rooms 17 and 22 will be performing for the Spring program.  Room 20 already performed in the Winter program.  

Please make sure you check with the teachers for any necessary instructions for dressing props.


The week of March 14th-17th is parent conference week and minimum days 


The week of March 27-31 is Spring Break.  School resumes the 3rd of April.


Last Day of school is June 9th.


Also the fifth grade committee still meets to raise money for the end of year party.. many hands make work light..Give them a call!


Donations of supplies are always welcome ALL year!!!

Dear Parents,  


Summer vacation is quickly coming to an end.  We hope you and your family had a wonderful time, sharing special moments together.  Soon enough your child will be entering a new grade level, and we are very excited to meet him/her.  

We look forward to working with you in helping your child be successful student for life!

#2 Pencils, crayons, colored pencils, erasers

Black or blue pens AND red pens

Small pencil sharpener that will fit in your pencil pouch (Need a plastic case to catch shavings)

Water-based markers

3 - Packages lined paper (Please no college ruled paper)

5 - One-Subject wire-bound notebooks.  Write your name of the FRONT COVER (Not college ruled.  Bring all notebooks to school (label them: LA, Math, Science, Take Home/Leave Home, Late Work)

1 - Spiral Bound Notebook - Grid paper for math (Write your name on the FRONT COVER)

4 - Expo Markers

1 - Small stapler that will fit into your pencil bag

1 - Highlighters (any color)

1 - Pair of small scissors

Small bottle of glue or glue stick

2 - Boxes of tissue

2 - Containers of sanitizing wipes AND baby wipes

1 - Box of sandwich size zip-locks AND 1 box of gallon sized

1 - Large clipboard
